My system will not boot from cd

Hello,

I have just tried loading XP over the top of Vista and it came up with an error loading my operating system. Now I cant do anything much. It will not boot from the installation cd. I can use F8 to show boot from the cd, and i can still get to the Bios with the delete key, but absolutely nothing more. Someone please help
Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.0

What are you using a pc or a laptop ?

It is a PC and it was loaed with Vista. I tried to load XP professional from start up and it completed the format, started loading windows, when it got to the restart, it stopped saying there was an error loading the windows platform. Now it wont do anything. I cant reboot from startup or anything. however I can use the F8 function and the delete function to get to the bios. Hope you can help

whwn u try to boot from cd. if it not display then you must restart your pc and imidatily pres F12 or setup buten
then you'll see option then select boot from cd room.

I'm using Vista in my system, I installed the backup of HP PAVILLON WEBCAM,this software is not installed properly and I installed it two times, later I restarted my lap, after booting it shows blank . can u please help me.
