Bios password locked in my extensa 5220

I HAVE A BIOS PASSWORD LOCKED ON MY ACER 5220 laptop; can anyone tell me the location of the bios battery

Hi,

normally the password is "OK"

there is no BIOS battery but rather CMOS battery.

this is find on your motherboard!

take a close look, you wiill surely find it.
note that if you remove the battery, your date & time will be affected and you will have to set them again!

The battery is located on the underside of the motherboard.... under the heat sink. The heat sink is a bent unit extending from the fan to the back of the cpu, and a little beyond. You must remove the heat sink to gain access to the battery. Do not attepmt this if you do not know what you are doing.

It is NOT possible to reset a Bios password just by removing the cmos battery you will need professional assistance.

I unlocked My Acer Aspire 3500 in www.laptoprebirth.com They gave me very good service and it worked like a charm!!!!
