Hello,

I recently bought a Playstation 3 and tried to get it online. After about a week of kicking and screaming, I finally managed to get an old router (Linksys BEFSR41) up and running. I've had the thing for a few years but could never figure out how to make the thing work properly.

Anywho, I finally got it to work. Only problem is now my internet speed is 25% if not 50% slower than it ever was.

I haven't been able to play my PS3 games online for more than 5 minutes without losing my connection to the servers.

On the PC end, web pages take a good 5-10 seconds to load. Watching videos online is painfully slow and requires tons of buffering. I usually get frustrated and just give up.

I was hoping somebody would have some suggestions and could at least steer me in the right direction.

By the way, I'm a network newbie so please keep it simple with the network language.

Oh and please don't mention any wireless networking. I don't even want to deal with it.

Thanks in advance!
Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 6.0
