Sounds like the BIOS is crashing...What type of a HDD are you using? Try plugging the hard into another machine and backup your data! you might have to format.

It's virus, you must istall windows again or you can scan your hard disk with any best antivirus soft for that you want to remove your hard disk drive frome your computer and connect as slave in different computer, first install antivirus software after coonect your hard drive

remember if your antivirus software is note capeble to identifies virus then after some time that pc also logoff automaticaly

IT DEPENDS ON THE TYPE OF OPERATING SYSTEM YOU HAVE, ALL YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND AS A USER IS THAT, YOU SHOULD BA ABLE TO KNOW THAT BEFORE THE PROBLEM OF ON/OFF ARISE, THERE MUST HAVE BEEN A SOFTWARE INSTALLED THAT DID NOT PASS WINDOWS LOGO. WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO IS THAT, WHEN BOOTING THE COMPUTER, PRESS F8 AND SELECT SAFE MODE, CLICK ON ALL PROGRAMS, NAVIGATE TO ACCESSORIES, CLICK ON SYSTEM TOOLS AND SELECT SYSTEM RESTORE.

TRY TO RESTORE IT TO AN EARLIER VERSION BEFORE THE PROBLEM DATE. AFTER RESTORE COMPLETE, RESTART THE SYSTEM AND YOU HAVE YOUR SYSTEM BACK AND HEALTHY. THAT WAS HOW I SOLVE MY WINDOWS XP PROBLEM.

HOPE IT HELP YOU OUT.

Copy userinit.exe from a working computer.....userinit is located at c:\windows\system32

*open recovery console and overwrite the userinit.exe file

use the ff cmd:
COPY x:\userinit.exe c:\windows\system32\userinit.exe

*where x is the drive letter of the disc that contain the good userinit file

Q. My computer logoff automatically After I logon. Runs in a Logon-Logoff Loop.

The reason why this happening is because the Userinit.Exe file is corrupted or deleted.

Steps for Fix
1. Boot from External Boot CD (I used BartPE)
To Create BartPE Boot CD Go to http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/
All information is given Step-By-Step.

2. Run-> Cmd -> into Dos Command Prompt
3. Copy the Userinit.exe from Bart'sPE Located at x:\i386\userinit.exe (On Bart's CD X:Drive this file is Located)
to c:\windows\system32\ Using this Command:
COPY x:\i386\userinit.exe c:\windows\system32\userinit.exe

4. Fix the Register Entry for Userinit ie
You can use this by going to BartPE Run command and Entering RegEdit
Once the Registery Window Opens go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Userinit
and change the Value to 'C:\Windows\System32\Userinit.Exe,"

5. Restart the PC and Login
6. Once in Run your Virus Scanner or Malware byte Program to Clean up

I have the same problem you solved and an trying your fix using barts PE with no luck. when trying to copy the userinit file I an getting an error msg that it cannot find file if I type in copy D: with a space between the y and d. when I leave no space between the two I recieve a cannot find path error msg. I am obviously very green at this and could use a little more direction. the machine is a toshiba Satellite w/xp os. this all came about after running adaware aniversary version which had run several times before with no ill effects.
