Random shutdown

Hello,


Biostar M7NCG 400 motherboard with 2.2GHz Sempron 3300+ processor randomly shutsdown. Sometimes, when first started, it takes several tries to get the computer to come on. When it shuts down, there is no warning, no freezing, the screen just goes black and the light on the front of the monitor flashes. The cpu fan still runs when this happens but the hdd light does nothing. This computer ran fine with no problems at all then suddenly started doing this. I've trojan/virus scanned, swapped ram, swapped monitors and swapped power supplies. Ive tried with an agp video card and the on board graphics.

Hello


Have you made any hardware or software changes that may have brought this on? If not, check for an overheating CPU. Also double check the specs of the PSU(s) you've tried.
