Hello,
My computer started shutting off randomly, and then eventually it wouldn't boot up at all. When I take off the connection to the motherboard and turn switch on power supply on/off, it will turn fans for a couple seconds, then nothing. I have to unplug the power to motherboard and plug back in, then it will turn fans for a couple seconds again. I brought in to a place to check if power supply was bad and they confirmed it.
So I installed the new power supply. When I turn the switch on the back of the power supply the fan on the mother boards instantly turns on and stays on. I get power to the cd/rom, and I hear the hard drive spinning. There is no way to turn off the fans unless I turn the switch off on the back of power supply.
All that being said, does this mean the mother board has gone bye bye?
Thanks.
