Update Manager DL problem with AVG 8.0

Hello,
Since October 2008 I've had the DL problem with the Update Manager for my AVG 8.0. So how do I get to all the steps you tried? http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en...HJTInstall.exe I can't get to this URL, since it puts up an error message. You listed 4 or 5 steps you took over a period of 4 days. Specifically, how did you do them?

1) SmitFraudFix (normal)
2) SmitFraudFix (safe mode)
2) Spy Subtract
3) SuperAnti Spyware
4) Avira AntiSpywhere
5) Trojan Remover

How do these work and/or how do you go about this?

Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 3.0.5
