Hi,
I’m having a problem with my computer. After a power cut 2 nights ago, my computer just randomly shuts off. Every time I boot back up, about 2-5 minutes later it'll just shut off. It'll do this all the time even if I let it remain on the desktop menu.
I cannot understand why this is so. Is it because of the power failure?

Configuration: Windows Vista
Firefox 3.0.5

Hello,
I guess it is the power supply. Try another working one in your system. If the problem still persists, then it is a motherboard issue. You will have to get it replaced. Yes, it is due to the power failure.

It must be a Hardware error, It's probably the power supply, or the mother board, try blowing the dust out of your system, and make sure the sink between the bios and cooling fan is not clogged with dust, if it is clean it completely. Check for registry errors, and run a virus program. If the problem continues, take the previous advice, and change the power supply, and then the mother board, if the power supply does not fix your problem. Good luck.......Get back to me.
