Help install sata disk drive

Hello,
i have an amd athlon 64 and the motherboard has a sata connection so i bought a sata harddrive and connector,no problems connecting to the motherboard however the power connection on my new hard drive wont accept power supply lead,different fitttings,do i have any options?pls help

You can buy a SATA power adapter. Almost any PC store should have one.
