The icon on my desktop disappear

Hello,all of the sudden my icons for all my programs have disappear and when i tried to access my program it says that windows does not recognized the program that create it and that it will go on the web to see which program create it or you could locate it manually from a list of program in your system.COULD A VIRUS HAVE DONE THIS!!! how can I fix it...Thank you...

Hey there i used to have the same problem..y dont u try system restor.go to accessories them system tools and then system restore..it definetly wil solve ur problem
