Dear Pattabhi,
You can install any operating system in your laptop by disabling SATA Drive from your bois setup. Once you disable SATA Drive from setup then you are allowed to install any OS on your machine.

brother almoost evry labtop hv same sata driver u put driver in winodws xp cd . and read my 1st ansar # 67 .hope u wil do .

HI prasad this is pattabhi,regarding hp dv2701tx .there is no sata driver in bios setting.so i tryed to format vista to xp its gives some error i.e is the bios in this system is not fully configured acpi complaint. so please give me solution.

u want tu instal win xp on ur sata hardrive hp system . dont wory u want tu and ur windows cd to sata hardriver driver . then u intal windows xp. if u hv any ftp server avaleble space 1GB then i give u my Windows xp cd imeg . write cd and instal so simple . thanks

Its ludzz here! I’m also facing the same problem; I would be glad if u can also help me with the image. Because I think it's the only way to solve the problem.
I've try to disable SATA controller but couldn't find anything by the name in the Bios setup. I’ve also try to do the image with SATA drivers but I couldn't find them (drivers).
I do have XP installation cd, so if the image is too big u can just send me SATA drivers only and I'll do the rest.

Salam Brother i was to install xp on my vista but after booting from xp cd it wont let and says no harddrive found but if i remove xp cd it will boot and go to vista plz help to format my system in what manner

U can make a bootable with sata compatable driver with the help of NLITE software. But first of all u have sata hdd driver.
