Hello,
i need to change my opreting system which is vista to XP in my laptop HP pavilion dv2000 model 2701tx.BIOS is not going to flash.plz help me to do formate and put os XP.for this i am very much thankful

Configuration: Windows Vista
Internet Explorer 7.0

Dear Pattabhi,

You can install any operating system in your laptop by disabling SATA Drive from your bois setup. Once you disable SATA Drive from setup then you are allowed to install any OS on your machine.

Hi Nil,
try to follow following steps:

1) Go to BIOS setting
2) find sata setting (name may be diff..)
3) change it to ATA.
4) save setting and run xp installation..

Hi, I have HP DV201tx special edition, with vista installed. I tried installing XP pro but couldnt succees. after going thru all the forums and tried almost everything. using nLite i created winXP OS with SCSI drivers loaded and tried but no use, pressed F7 to ignore SCSI from detecting, but so far no luck. can you please send me the SCSI SATA HDD drivers to my mail

u want tu instal win xp on ur sata hardrive hp system . dont wory u want tu and ur windows cd to sata hardriver driver . then u intal windows xp. if u hv any ftp server avaleble space 1GB then i give u my Windows xp cd imeg . write cd and instal so simple . thanks

Its ludzz here! I’m also facing the same problem; I would be glad if u can also help me with the image. Because I think it's the only way to solve the problem.

I've try to disable SATA controller but couldn't find anything by the name in the Bios setup. I’ve also try to do the image with SATA drivers but I couldn't find them (drivers).

I do have XP installation cd, so if the image is too big u can just send me SATA drivers only and I'll do the rest.

Download xp OS by searching www.thepiratebay.com and which was included sata drivers.
1. first download utorrent software from www.utorrent.com and install it.
2. download xp as told above and your xp os is download as in the format of .torrent
3. open that torrent file with utorrent software and it will b downloaded.
4. after downloading right click that one and select the option "open containing folder"
5. copy those things and enjoy.

****u must installed winrar software to open the downloaded file.

Hello sir.i'm facing the same situation as i want to install xp against vista,but there is an error mesage reporting of no hard drive foundor like" beginning to dump physical memory and the system will shut down".Could you please give me a solution for this.I got all the supporting drivers for my laptop from my vista configuration itself and i stored them in a disk.so i think i can install xp using those drivers,but the only problem is the eror report during the installation.

Yaar Dont wory,
1. Buy( Rs. 600/- approx)/ Collect an usb floppy drive
2. Copy supporting hardisk driver into a floppy from that.(Take the help of custommer care if req)
3. attach the usb floppy drive, before installing Xp
4. At the begining Of installing Xp a message at the bottom will give, press F2, or something for external HDD, Press that at the time,
Next follow the instruction

Problem will be of drive, U have to search for driver

But I 80% know and rest belive, there is driver but u have smarty search, not only on net but else where.

I am unable to install XP on my hp Pavilion dv2000. When trying to boot from XP Professional SP2 CD it always says that there is no hard drive is intalled. However my old windows home edition is working on the same laptop.

To follow this procedure, you need USB Floppy drive. And we have to create two floppies.

Here are steps to create two floppies and to install XP:

Download the Intel SATA AHCI Controller Driver, SoftPaq SP32478.exe from the below URL:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/...

Extract all the files from the SoftPaq. A USB floppy is necessary for this step. Run sp32478; this will create a floppy disk. The files will be located on this floppy.

: These files should be located on the floppy disk.

a. iaahci.cat

b. iaahci.inf

c. iastor.cat

d. iastor.inf

e. iastor.sys

f. license.txt

g. readme.txt

h. txtsetup.oem

Now we have to create the second Floppy

Download the below zip file from the below URL and unzip the file. Copy the unzipped files to another floppy:

As soon as you open the web site a small window will pop up with OPEN, SAVE and CANCEL options. Please select the SAVE option and save the file on the desktop.

Unzip the files and save the files on the second USB floppy drive. Please insert the XP Operating System disc and allow the Notebook to boot with the Operating System disc.

After that when it prompts to press F6, please press F6. It prompts to insert the floppy, here you have to insert the first floppy, and follow the onscreen instructions.

It will give you the list like:

1- intel ICH9 SATA AHCIController
2- Intel 82801HEM SATA RAID Controller
3- Intel 82801HEM SATA AHCI Controller
4- Intel ICH8R/ICH9R SATA RAID Controller

Select one by one of the listed items it prompts to insert intel storage drive insert second floppy drive.

Insert second Floppy when it propmts to insert the intel matrix storage driver.

Now, the installtion will detect the notebook harddrive and you can complete the XP OS installtion.

I used n-lite and integrated SATA drivers to XP Pro SP3,then boot from cd and press F7 (not F6),works fine.But i have problems with hardware.My wireless network,bluetooth,fingerprint reader,card reader,audio,allmost nothing do not work.Only USB and dvd works fine.Where i can found correct drivers and soft for my machine(HP Paviljon dv2000)?Sorry for my bad english,but i think estonian and russian is not good here.
