Dell Inspiron 1525 P/I Battery Not Charging?Closed

Hello, 
I'm having an issue with my inspiron. It's battery doesn't seem to be charging. It only works if plugged in to the wall. The battery light blinks blue then red. It also has been shutting down suddenly. Completly powers off but comes right back on afterwards. Before I invest in buying a new battery I want to make sure this isn't the only issue,  Advice please? Thank You.

Configuration: Windows Vista / Internet Explorer 7.0

Hi,

You can check it before purchasing in the shop itself taking along the laptop with you or if someone you know has the same then test it.
