Hi

I'm running Xp since 3 years and have just done a reinstall, all okay and updated.

But since then, I'm missing sound and cant get it back. I downloaded the drivers but upon installation, an alert box comes up saying "you need to update your plug and play device - 536870397".

I tried the installation again and got the same response, and then the install stops. My computer had sound before.

Please can anyone help?

Configuration: Windows XP
Opera 9.62

You have no drivers loaded sometimes this happens with XP
If you go to your install disc it should have sound drivers or just download Soundmax from the net
If you can get hold of Realtex HD Audio Manager that is also a very good program
Hope this helps Merry Xmas
