Realtek Audio Query

Posté par mohsikhan89, le Saturday April 19, 2008 11:50:28 AM
Hello,

I hv the realtek audio driver installed in my PC alongwith the board software. my problem is i am able to use the microphone and record into any of the audio editors. whereas i am not able to hear in my headphone what i speak or say ?

whereas i am able to do the same with my laptop (ESS Maestro3). I find the same problem with my friends PC also. We are able to record the sounds coming from Mic after recording not while recording irrespective of audio software that we use. (Like Adobe Audition, Wavelab, Soundforge, Wavepad, Sound Recorder etc etc)
Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 6.0

Hello

Go to the volume control.

Its at Start, All Programs, Accessories, Entertainment, Volume Control.

In there, click options and then click recording and then ok. Make sure your audio in is selected (Mic In)

Wait, thats not the problem, the real problem is that you are unable to hear yourself when you playback. If this is the the case which I believe is the case, click options, click properties and go back to playback and from the audio lists, try checking all of them and then click OK.

Now, make sure WAVE or MP3/Out is not muted or simply try unmuting all the settings.

Check weather that works. If that does not work, then record again using the MIC, save it as a file and then try playing it back using Windows Media Player. If that does not work, check your drivers. You may need to reinstall them.

Otherwise, get a Creative Sound Blaster Sound Card. I prefer them much more than onboard sound cards. Only thing it has music making features, like SoundFont Technology and Computer Audio Recording.

Hi,

I read about your audio problem, and I've had a lot of the same problems. I just formated my computer, and it won't recognize the sound card, which is integrated in the Motherboard. I've tried to install the driver, downloading new ones and etc, but nothing helps. So, I came to thinking, the only difference this time around, is that on this XP-version, there's installed Service Pack 3.

Have you been able to fix your pc and get the audio back?

I would really appreciate it if you'd reply.

Thanks,
Mathias

i just found the solution for this problem :
1. right click your volume icon on the task bar and click on "Open Volume Control"
2. click on Options then Properties
3. make sure that you have selected the Realtek HD Audio output
4. This will show you various volume controls for various playback methods
5. make sure to check "Pink In" then click on Ok
6. You will see then that Pink in is Muted -> uncheck the mute box
7. Do not forget to increase the volume bar to maximum
8. speak into the microphone and enjoy hearing your voice on the speaker

-- i posted this recently. this should help you with your problem.

connection of microphone is not made with the soft ware no vibra, on Thursday July 3, 2008 03:23:21 PM
I hv installed the software, while recording my voice , no vibrations appear on the line. So while playing after saving no recorded voice is heard, while clock goes on. On the other hand the same microphone works on the other computer, ie. the mic is ok.

Thanks for the clear instructions. Unfortunately, I followed them, and even after de-selecting mute and increasing the volume to maximum, I can not hear successfully record. Any other ideas? Thanks

I find some change in the quality of sound output when I play some pre recorded music from my hard disk. It appears as if the speed of the track is slower than the original track.
