Hello,

I need to restore toshiba l355d to factory settings. so many virus i just want it back the wasy it was when i first got it.
help, help, help. it has windows vista running on it but f8 or f7 does nothing.

can some one please reply asap.

Having the same problems...can i just borrow a friends recovery disk... if so does it have to be for toshiba..
please help i live in prague and the computer was my gateway to freedom
thing is i hve lost teh recovery disk

Yes you can borrow your friends recovery disk, it has to be toshiba of course.

Assuming that you have not deleted or corrupted the hidden partitions, you should be able to restore easily...

shut down
hold 0 (zero/NOT TEN KEY)
power on

then the recovery wizard will boot
