How do i reinstall my CD/DVD driver?

Hello,
i accidently uninstalled my CD/DVD driver and i cannot figure out how to fix it or install it back. its not as simple as i thought it would be. PLEASE HELP!

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.0

It all depends on your system, I did the same with my Dell Dimension, so I head over to Dell.com/support, and had a chat with one of their support teams. I told them my computer, and it's specs, and they gave me links to the drives download.

I recommend you go to your Computer support site, and find the drives, if you cannot find it, we might be able to help you out if you give us the type of computer you have.

I am not able to play any dvd, my laptop does not recognise any dvd,
