Hello,

Last week I was using my WD harddrive to transver some files from a friends pc. It all went wrong and I had to reset and delete everything on my harddrive. And now it won`t show on Vista.

I have been using my disk universal between Mac and Windows. Mac Os X Extended (journaled)

This have been working fine. But now it won`t show on Windows. My pc makes a sound when I plug it in, but that`s it.

Please help me...

When your "reset and delete everything" did you delete the hard disks Partition?

If so - you will need to partition and format the hard drive.

Right-Click on the “My Computer” icon either on your desktop or in the Start Menu and select “Manage.”

A new window titled “Computer Management” comes up.
Select “Storage” from the left hand side by clicking it once, then select “Disk Management(local)” from the right side by double-clicking it. Find your external drive and select one large partition. Then right click the drive and format it.

Hey again,

Thanks for the help, but when I got into Disk Management I couldn`t choose format. It was written in grey.

And also I did partition it into one large on on my mac. So I don`t know what to do to be honest.

Ok, back up a second. You said that you formatted the drive as Mac OS Extended (journaled), right? If that's the case, then it won't show up in Vista b/c Vista does not have native support for that. You would have to get something like MacDrive (http://www.mediafour.com/macdrive) or copy your stuff off of the HD, presumably to the mac you were working on, format the drive again as NTFS or FAT32, and reconnect it to vista. It's greyed out in Disk Management because Vista knows there's something on there, but can't read it.
