Ive just got a acer aspire one for christmas,its all good and everything except i cannot get the windows live to come up when i turn on my laptop,it says i have downloaded it in my downloads but when i press open it does not come up with anything, PLEASEEEEE HELP ME ,thankyou

You can use windows live messenger on the linux aspire one! download the updates onto it by getting it one line and go on the acerman site and get it updated it will take a while but once you ve done that go into the messenger settings and go into the compatiblity setting and set it onto windows compatible and add it and you should be done at that

Yeah same. I bought one for christmas too. Have you got the linux acer aspire one notebook? Because thats what i got and i tried downloading msn because the messenger on it already didnt work. So I rang acer and they told me to do a live update and leave it till its done and so there are no updates left at all. So thats what i did.
