Hello,

I'm trying to find out the size of my computer fan. Not the power supply fan. It has holes in the computer for a fan, sorry I'm kinda new at this. I want to put an extra fan in to cool off the machine. How do I tell how many pins it is, 3 or 4? Also, where do I plug the fan into? Thanks for the patients.

Hai

What makes you think you need another fan? Is your system running hot? And where would this fan be mounted...front, rear or side? If the hole is already there, all you really need to do is measure it. The most common sizes are 80mm or 120mm, but there are other possibilities...92mm for example.

As for the power connection, you'd have to open the case to see if there's a place to plug the fan into the motherboard...if not, it would have to be connected to the power supply.

Do you know your CPU & system temps? if so, post them.
