Installing XP - RAID an issue ?

Hello,

I have an old DELL PowerEdge SC420 that isn't needed as a server anymore. I'd like to just install WinXP on it and use it as anoyher desktop machine. But this server has 2 160GB disks set up as RAID (not sure if it's 0 or 1). Can I just reformat and install XP, or do I have to do something special because of the RAID configuration ?

Depends on how old the RAID is. If you're lucky, WINXP already has the RAID drivers. If that's the case, you don't need to do anything special.

If that's not the case, you 'll need to supply the drivers. This requires you to either have a working floppy drive, or rebuild the WinXP CD with the required drivers.
