I-Tunes+Quick time

Hello,
Please can some1 help me
i got and ipod nano for xmas and when i went 2 download music it sed i need itunes 08 but when downloading it it says" "...this never came up downloading before it wont even tell me how 2 fix the problem or what error has came up.
however when i i tryin and download quick time it says something about an unlicenced publisher...i have read what other ppl have advised and nothin has worked...i took of the pop up blocker i tryed downloadin quck player 1st and my ipod did not come with a disc

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 7.0

If this is the Windows message "Unverified publisher" - you should click the button to continue the install. All this means is Apple did not pay Microsoft to verify the software for Vista.
