Hello James,
I've got only 2 questions ! Do you have backup ? Have you partitions on your local disk ? If yes, you've got a chance to recover all your info's.. If their is any partition you can move it from your hard disk to partitioning from bios system. C you Zigy |
I'm afraid you'll have to format your hard disk :( Cose if your system dont recognize your hard disk, this will be pretty difficult to recover all informations stored.. But youve got a lil chance if you have partitioning. |
Formating is the only way dude ;)
Good luck..i know this kind of problem! |
Aieee!!! format your pc my friend, and use avira anti-virus next time its the best so far for me! |
Hola` my suggestion to you is to perform a scan with Norton Antirus... When Norton finds the virus, u go download the fix onto www.symantec.com ... Might be the best and sure action for your problem! |
Hello,
"What am I suppose to do? How to get the virus out of my HDD?" Try this , made for Virus on USB Hard Drive. http://www.commentcamarche.net/faq/sujet 9959 desinfecter une cle usb disque amovible |
You should get a live CD of Linux such as Ubuntu or go to http://distrowatch.com/ and take a pick of thousands of Linux live CDs. Its easy, all you do is download the ISO and then burn the ISO to a CD.
Another good distro I recommend is SimplyMEPIS (http://www.mepis.org/). It is probably the easiest Linux to use so I recommend it the most. (Note: do not simply burn the file to a data disk. You must use Nero or some other CD burning program that can burn images [ISOs] to CDs) This will not affect your current operating system (Windows Installation). Pop the CD in your drive after it is burned and then restart the computer. Once you're in Linux simply plug in your flash drive and it will automatically be recognized. Viruses don't affect Linux at all so the virus won't operate and you'll be able to see the partition normally. If you can't see the partition (and the drive is mounted, meaning Linux can see it) then your entire partition may be corrupted and so you'll have to reformat. I recommend using Linux instead of Windows because it is more secure as your operating system. Oh yea I forgot to mention Linux is FREE and open source (meaning you can see the code that makes it run). SAM |

Hello,
I'm having trouble with my Hard Disk Driver. There is a virus in it. The PC recognizes the Hard Disk, but I can not see folders in it. The folders contains: mp3 songs, some movies, etc... My question is: What am I suppose to do? How to get the virus out of my HDD? But, please do not tell me I should format the HDD... Thanks a lot Naimesh |
Hello guys,
I am using a 40GB USB Hard Drive for about 1 year but suddenly I cannot open it when I plugged again to my pc. I checked on Disk Manager and it was there in Disk Drives but on Disk Management also not there. I have most of my important files such as work related files, music, movies etc... can somebody help me how to recover them back or to fix my problem why I cannot access it? Thanks in advance. Hey guys,
I'm in some serious need for help. I just borrowed a 50 GB external hard drive from my buddy to put all my music, documents, etc on because I want to reformat. I have an old dell laptop, reason for me reformatting. The problem is the external hard drive is not being recognized. It makes the 2 beep noise that it is recognized, but its not showing up in my computer or anywhere else. My computer reads other memory stick drives and whatnot but not this. Dell's customer services is awful, they're trying more to sell you some new product/service rather then solve problems. If anyone can, can you help me? Thanks guys |
