If you have older versions of iTunes installed in your computer and you have playlist saved to it, try to uninstall older versions of iTunes including Quicktime player and all Apple application that you can locate in the add or remove programs in the Control Panel. After uninstalling it try to find the folder "iTunes" that contains all of your playlist that was previously configured in iTunes that you uninstalled and delete it. It is normally not deleted even if you already uninstalled iTunes. But before you delete the "iTunes" folder make sure that you back up first all of the songs that was saved in the playlist folder. After deleting the "iTunes" folder install iTune 8 and you are good to go. I hope i help you in this one. |
Try to uninstall your previous versions of iTunes including all the Apple application that you can locate in the Add o Remove programs including Quick time. After uninstalling everything try to find the filename "iTunes" that contains all of your playlist that was previously configured from your old iTunes (normally it is saved in the My Music folder). "iTunes" folder are not automatically deleted even if you already uninstall iTunes from your computer. Delete the file but make sure that you have a back up on all of the songs or videos that was saved in your playlist. After deleting it try to install iTunes 8 and you're good to go. I Hope it will work cause it worked on me. |

Hello. If you are running Windows XP, make sure you have atleast Service Pack 2 installed. If you had previously downloaded Microsoft's .NET framework SP2 & 3 delete both as they are known to conflict with iTunes. Many have reported that after .NET framework has been installed, iTunes would not function. This is most likely the case. Uninstall the .NET framework. Your computer will prompt you to reboot. After doing so, reinstall iTunes and it should work fine.
