Hello,
i am using windows xp after some time i used software and shud down pc. i have started next day pc but did not start my pc than i was used bootable xp cd but ginving a massese c drive unknows partition so please help me

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.0

Anil

after you boot with XP cd you should choose the option repair installation ,log on to the drive through DOS command and type fixmbr or fixbootwhile you are at the c;drive
it should look something like this C\: fixmbr or
C\: fixboot


give it a try before you format or install new windows

Same thing and same mess i ll get in my pc, but if i reinstall the windows again i cant find the repaired the windows its shown me format for new installation ,,but i have more data in this drive,,

Help me what can i do ?? how to recover the previous installed windows..
