Hello,
i turn on my gateway laptop and a small blue background screen says ENTER HDD0 USER PASSWORD...
Pls how do i get pass this? i dont remember setting anything like that.the hard disk is a hitachi make.Pls help me.

Configuration: Windows XP

I have researched this and found that the only cost efficient solution was to buy a new hard drive. The password lock is at such a low level within the hard drive that there is no software solution. There is also the possibility that the hard drive is dead and the controller defaults to this incorrect password message.
