Windows cannot find the network path.

Hello,
veryfy that the network path is correct and the desination computer is not busy or turned.
if windows still cannot find the network path, contact your network administrator.but my system ping properly what should I do?plz help me.

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 6.0

I have network machine Wndows Xp Service pack 2. Machine Ping work Properly. But \\192.168.1.5 not access the machine.

There has 10 pcs in our office are connected by LAN.one of these pc could not get other's pc resource but i have run network setup wizerd on every pc and pc are pinging eatch other. Some time this pc given a messege that "windows can't find the specific path" and some time giving "your system not get permission to get this resource to solved this probleb asked your administrator " like it.

I think this relates to file sharing problem, first just make sure you can ping this computer from other computers, and also there is no firewall blocking (Windows firewall, antivirus firewall) on this computer. After that you need to enable file sharing correctly, it can be simple file sharing in Vista or XP, password protected file sharing in Vista or share file with user/group permission in XP pro.

Ur system is ping properly ..so dont install win xp .. this problem is tcp/ip not a os .. so open your lan card property and unchack the IPX /SPX box after that u will access the ur anthor pc and network resoursec...........

Turning on windows file sharing fixed my issue for me.!
