Hello,
I got new BSNL broadband connection for my Home PC and they gave me UT-300R2U ADSL Modem. Its detecting the IP Address and I am able to ping 192.168.1.1 using command prompt and also able to see the correct IPConfig.
But I am not able to access the Internet. It says...Page cannot be displayed, please let me know what are the changes the needs to be done. The person who came to give connection from BSNL says its problem with my PC whereas I got this system newly with high end configurations. Please help in this issue.
Thanks,
S
Configuration: Windows XP IE

Dear Mr Chetan.. When you reset a broadband modem, the first thing that happens is the settings in modem which were previously saved gets erased. so now you have to make new settings. for that you have 2 options either bridge or ppoe. if you have a made a dataone connection and u have a shortcut on ur desktop that means u need to create a brigde connection. You type http://192.168.1.1 in ur browser login in modem then make new connection type name as BSNL and select bridge type connection VPI and VCI set to 0 & 35 leave other settings as they are then apply and ok

No automatic broadband connection in laptop running vista home premium with bsnl modem siemens c2110 type1 asking for passward and dial up,though local connection is easy ,diagnose and repair option sometimes okays the problem.Original internet connection is easy on desktop running xp professional with same modem and line.In both computers, internet explorer 8 stops while trying to open certain safe sites with explorer no add-on,medium high antivirus security setting, displaying "internet explorer stops working, finding solution" and "this tab closed and recovered successfully" |
