Wireless mouse not working

Hello,
I recently purchased a Microsoft wireless laser mouse and now its not working correctly with the mouse movement I have tried to replace the batteries as well but still no joy do you think that I should replace it?

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.0

Hi,
I had the same device as you and the problem was with my table surface and I just used a mouse pad with it. From what I have also heard it may also come from your screen refresh rate and I would recommend that you change the screen refresh rate from the display properties.
