Problem with my bluetooth connection

Hello,
i have a acer aspire7720ZG and i want to know how to connect my phone with my laptop... i tried it with bluetooth but when i press the bluetooth button then it keeps telling me that it couldnt connect to my phone and i also dont even know if i can set up my bluetooth somewhere.... it would be nice if someone could help me
