Hp dv6000 remote control is not wortking

Dear All,

Please note that, i have HP laptop (dv6000)

i was install witows xp on it, all hardware is running properly but remote control not working with notbook.

Please help me regarding the matter.

Thats not totally true, I have pavillion DV5 1140 with XP and it works, how???

Remote Control works if you have Quickplay software in your laptop.

HP says that Quickplay only is available for Windows Vista, but you know are many smart people and somebody make it available for XP

Before, you must have infrared drivers, then you will be able to get work remote control.

here is information about Quickplay and there you can download Quickplay.

if you cant find key to download Quickplay, then use this: 5587ffec923b102f8888757af5000347

You must install Quickplay for Windows, not Quickplay Direct, thats other thing.

I had same problem after upgrading my HP DV5-XXXX to W7. I was able to recorver all the features of the laptop (Quick play, Quick play access buttons) after tring all the Vista 64 drivers in the the HP Site, util i noticed that the remote control buttons where not responding. I started searching for drivers all over again, nothing worked, so I decided to test my laptop with my programable universal RC, TALA it responded to. the problem was just the battery in the original remote
