Hello,
The player has a mini disk driver that came with my new Missil Digital MP4 player will not be accepted by my
iMac - I don't want to force it in and when I do put it in as far as it will go
(into the larger slot located on the side of my iMac) it comes out.
I have connected the player via the USB connection to my computer and it
charged the unit. I tried going to iTune to try downloading a song but can
hearing nothing with the ear speakers.
Opened the icon for the MP4 on my computer and see this from:-
Stuffit Expander message -The file/Vol./MP4player/mtplist.bin does not appear to be compressed or encoded.
Obtain further info. about contents of this file from sender or provider of the file.
I also went on line and downloaded Xilisoft MP4 Converter for Mac and tried to download that on my player -but get the message at the end of the install that there is nothing to install - yet the downloaded Xilisoft indicates it contains 26.7 MB)
p.s. The pkg.containing the MP4 player had the Mac. icon on it so I assumed it would work
with my Mac. -but maybe not.
Thanks for ANY help -very frustrated at the moment
Configuration: Mac OS X Firefox 2.0.0.18
Well you can try some different things. Is your new player formatted to your mac? Take the song out of Itunes and place it where ever meaning make a copy of it like desk top memory stick etc and then move it to your player. Use usb connection for all this.

Ok this Missil GL15052 works on all systems as a file folder usb stick. As a music player it works through PC windows environment only. The software is geared only for windows pc. It dosent state the battery life for example how many hours you can listen to music for in advance. It does have a battery life indicator while your using it so that is nice. Trial and error will allow you to know how long it can last. This player is all around good but misleading in making you think you can plug it into a mac and pop the disc in thinking you can be on your way to uploading music. I havent yet set it all up on pc though when I do i will plug it back into mac and see if there is a way to add music or take music off of it. Have fun hope this helps some one out there in the world. Where is the Missil website like really. |
