Hi,
Have you tried letting it through Data Execution Prevention....
If you have Windows Vista:
1. Open 'Computer' from start menu
2. On the bar up top that says organise, view etc. click system properties
3. To the right click advanced system settings and give adminstrator permission if required
4. In the 'Performance' box click on settings
5. Under the 'Data Execution Prevention' tab select 'Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select:' and press 'Add...'
6. Find the .exe for nfs and select that.

If that doesn't work (for Vista only):
1. At the start menu, down the bottom in the search bar type in 'comand prompt' and right click on the icon and select ' run as administrator'
2. type in 'bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff' (This turns off DEP completely, if you wish to turn it back on just do the same thing but instead type in bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOn)
3.HAVE FUN PLAYING NEED FOR SPEED!!!

Is 'bcdedit.exe' the nfs .exe or is it something different? i can't seem to find it.

Hi,

i tried both of your sugestions and neither worked. The DEP interupts every time when I go to start it up, weather its off or not. If you have any other suggestions, please, please, please keep me posted. I've only had this game for a few months, since around the middle of the summer, and I had to play it on dads computer. This game works on his and not mine.

I'm not sure about Windows XP but i dare say that to get to DEP would be basically the same. As for the command prompt message if someone wants to try it and see how it goes and let me know.

Umm, I don't think your processor can handle it.
On Vista it takes a 3.2 GHz Intel Dual Core Processor I believe and on the XP it takes 2.8 GHz. Your processor cant handle it, mine barely runs on my 2GHz Intel Dual Core Processor and I also have a 3GB RAM and 250 GB HDD.
