How can i protect my system from any virus?

Hello,
i want only a information that can i protect my system from any type of virus? i mean
that how are viruses comes in the systems. Is there any path for coming viruses in the systems or not?
pls give me details it?

Any port (path for entry into the computer) is susceptible for incoming viruses. As long as data of any kind is transferred you open yourself up to viruses.

While if you are being responsible and watching the websites you go to you are less likely to run into viruses at all. A little common sense goes a long way. Also a good antivirus works miracles.

If you need recommendations I can give you some, but it's impossible to surf or access the internet without going somewhere where viruses could get you. It's how you do it and how you protect yourself that makes the difference.
