| Well, you're trying to directly connect to your laptop. Your PS3 may be able to connect to your wireless network instead. Connecting to your laptop won't work without a large set of settings being set. It would use your laptop as a router for your PS3, and in the process it would slow down your laptop a decent amount and limit the amount of bandwidth available to your PS3, so I suggest you either A) connect your PS3 to your router wirelessly, or B) Connect your PS3 to your router with a regular Cat5 Lan cable.
Let me know how this works or if you have issues, I have a PS3 myself and play online all the time.

| 20 bub, on Mar 26, 2009 3:38:44 pm GMTEverything u said there is a load of crap. i connect my laptop from my friends wireless connection down the road and i use an ethernet cable to connect it to my ps3. all i do is select the wireless network. right click and go 2 properties. click on advanced and click on share this connection with another computer. hit apply and just run the network settings on the ps3. it works fine, better then a wireless connection Reply to bub | 39 yeah, on Jul 9, 2009 12:52:10 am BSTYou're an idiot. you are STILL on a wireless connection. you are just piggybacking your likely stolen internet connection to your PS3. get your own internet subscription. If i have a compatible modem, which i do, to comcast, can i just screw the cable cord to my modem and use the ethernet cord to connect my modem to ps3 for a connection? I just dont want to have to pay 20 dollars a month just so i can play madden online.....Thanks
