Macbook Pro 15 Too Dark

Hello,


I am working on a Macbook Pro right now, that has a screen which is really dark. I've connected the machine to a CRT and the display works fine, so I known it's not the logic board. I thought it could either be the cheapest thing-- the inverter board. I replaced it, with no results. I took out the inverter board completely, and the problem continues, as if it's not even using it. What does this mean ? Is it the LCD ? I don't want to order a $300 screen if i don't have to.

Have you tried increasing your screen's brightness under system Preferences> Display ?
