Sharing internet connection using router

Hello,

I wish to share an internet connection btw a laptop (host computer:o/s Windows Vista) that has a wireless connection and a pc (o/s Windows XP) that will be connected via wire to Linksys router. The internet connection is working fine on the laptop, but I cannot seem to connect to internet from PC.

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 6.0

If your laptop obtains Internet wirelessly through the wireless gateway, then plug in your router or PC directly to the gateway's ethernet ports
if your laptop obtains Internet wirelessly and the wireless gateway is physically inaccessible, then turn on "Internet Connection Sharing" in "Wireless connection" properties of your laptop for "Local area network". Plug in your PC's cable (or router) to your laptop
