Hi, the problem I got is this after turning my computer on all the fans, lights come on and stay on for about 10 sec then it just shuts off and starts back up again and again and again. This whole time though my screen never displays anything. It just stays blan. I've noticed sometimes after about 20 times of it doing that it boots up and everything works fine. When I go to shut it down I have to put it on standby mode for it to boot back up again. Otherwise if I do a complete shutdown it will keep doing the same thing. I dunno what it could be I already replaced the psu and it still does the same thing. Any help?

Thanks
-Dan

Configuration: Mac OS X

Hi there my new computer i built last thursday does the exsact same thing its in at the shop

they tell me it may be the ram so maybe you could try that

try different ram or get the place you got it from if the ram still has a warranty to return it to the manufaturer

i hope this is what is wrong with my pc as i am having the same trouble as you

also try a different hard drive cable if u have a sata hard drive thats what my mate in auz told me

he said thats what you should do if you hear a click sound when you turn it on and then it resets

he said if thats the prob the computer will still beep just once to tell you everything is ok

mines really bad it doesnt even get to beep and no bios screen

mines in a pc store getting fixed only hope they prevail

Hi, I am having the same problem with my PC. Windows keeps rebooting before anything can be seen on the screen. I tried booting it even in the safe mode but still the same problem. I have linux installed on the same system and that is working fine..

Hi everyone. okay so i sorted the problem and i think urs maybe the same thing as linux is working fine. You have deleted the operating system I.E windows. you have deleted windows off of ur computer so wat u need to do is insert the windows disk and boot windows onto it. if u havent got a windows disk they are about 100 pounds. bout 200 dollars. good luck and i hope all of ur computers get fixed soon

Mine does the exact same thing, sometimes it stays blank with the blue lights and the fans on for ages, during the last week, its still not been working like its supposed to, but it does eventually turn on (if your lucky).
If you have the same HP laptop as me, what i do is, hold down the quickplay button and it works after the first on off, or I took the battery out at the back, then put it back in, and tried again, and that seemed to make a difference, I am still waiting for my laptop to turn on now, but all you have to do is keep trying!
I hope this helps,

Same problem here with an Ubuntu/Win7 dual boot system. The weird part is, if I turn the ATX power supply completely off (the switch on the back of the power supply), and turn it back on, the pc is able to boot into Win7 with no problems whatsoever. I repair with the original Win7 DVD reports no problems, so my only solution has been the switch. A single Win7 install on the same system (no dual boot, only Win7 in a clean HDD) shows no signs of the problem. The boot loader I am using is Grub2, but the same happened with Win7 Boot loader and with Grub, so I am confused. My guess is the ACPI is leaving something behind so when the power is completely cut off, the system is able to boot normally.
