Bit defender Vs Kaperskey 6.

I would like to know if I should use the bit defender 2009 that a friend just brought insteat of my old(not so old) kapersky 6.0 antivirus.(which I am not able to update cause I don't have internet access.

So which of these is the best and recommended one to select.
