Excel attachments won't open

Hello,

I use Office 2007 now. I have problem when I open the attachment from outlook. The excel file won't open but the excel applications launch.

If i preview the attachment, then the file is fine to open by excel 2007.

Any way to slove it. Thanks

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 6.0

I have the same problem. Excel attachments in outlook wont open. They only open if I preview the attachment. How do I solve this problem?

Maybe, because the version of excel which has been used to create this file, is a prior version of excel then I think, you should try to create a association of files.
Then copy this file on Windows Office, click right, choose "Open with...", select the program "Excel 2007", check the box "Always use this program to open this type of file" (or something like that) and click "OK".
Normaly, after you should be able to open them directly.

Its not the case of versions. i have the same problem with excel 2003 and outlook 2003.
