Wired or wireless connection?

There are many wireless clips/cards that don't have Linux drivers. You may have to buy an external wireless access device that has such a driver.

Please try asking this question in the openSUSE forums where they probably have a lot of experience with this issue
http://forums.opensuse.org/

Also it might be worth trying copying that same question into a general linux forum such as

http://www.linuxquestions.org

which is dedicated to answering linux issues.

I thought you might find these guides helpful

Good luck and regards from
