I am trying to compare two excel sheets; the first sheet (entire data) contains thousands of rows and 5 columns, the second sheet (search phrase) contains a list of a few hundred reference names that correspond with the names in the first column of the first "entire data" sheet. All of the names on the second "search phrase" list appear only once on the first "entire data" sheet (the entire data set contains thousands of other names that are not present on the second list). I want to automate the process of comparing each name on the second "search phrase" list with the names in the first column of the first "entire data" sheet and where the matching name is found extract the 5 columns related (horizontally) to that name to a new sheet.
Can this be done?
