Problem uninstalling avast antivirus

Hello,

i have installed Avast trial version antivirus ..as it is going to expire i'm trying to uninstall it
but having problem in doing it.
i tried the following steps

control panel > add/remove sw > avast >

but no new window is opening for uninstalling as it do while uninstalling other sw.

i even tried uninstalling it in safe mode...

kindly suggest something

I wonder why you chose to uninstall Avast.. If your trial version is running out, you can go to avast website and get your license key for FREE in just a minute. It's very simple really.

However, if you're sure you want to remove it, and are facing problems.

Go to your regedit and remove the keys yourself.

Go to start> Run> type in regedit> HKEY_Local Machine> SOFTWARE >
find the entries for alwil.. and right click and delete that entry.

Do the same for HKEY_Current User... that should solve your problem.

:-)
I would still suggest you to register your avast instead. It's free and effective.

Just download aswclear.exe from avast website. It is the Avast uninstall utility. Restart ur comp to safe mode and open aswclear.exe. Choose what program u want to uninstall and proceed.

Hello...good day...i try to check regedit in run...but it's said that it has been enabled by administrator...i am the admin of my laptop...where can i find registry editing in my files???help me please..thank you!
