Aspire vista password issues

Hello,
i have an acer aspire 5610Z with windows vista and need to reset my password with out logging in. its a long story but i dont have the recovery disc either.... what do i do?

You should try to enter safe-mode when computer boots by pressing F8 button. When you're in safe mode just go to control panel>users>change administrator password.

Hi I am haveing the same admin issue did u figure out how to fix this problem?

The previous post is correct with both vista and windows xp you can use the safe-mode option to login in and change the password however If the person installing your operating system added a Administrator Password then this will not work. You would be best in that case to take it to a repair shop loose the $30 dollars for a half hour labour, and have them use a program to do it... Recovery Discs WILL FORMAT your drive and you will loose all data. To enter Safe-mode you would need to keep pressing f8 during the initial boot select safe-mode (either with networking or not networking doesnt matter) Once you have gotten into safe-mode you need to select the Admin user account if it requests a password try 12345 or 000000 these are two standardly used passwords. Access the user accounts and reset the password:)
