Hello,
Can you send me the sata drivers please?? I cannot install the windows xp unless i have the sata drivers.
I CAN NOT INSTALL WINDOWS XP, THE HARD DID NOTAPEAR FROM CD BOOT

Configuration: Windows XP

There are no drivers unless you are using a raid drive setup.

Your problem is that the drive isn't plugged in. Go back and push the connector in very hard, it should make a very slight click. Then pull on the cable. If it just slides out, get another cable. Do this to the mobo and the drive..

If this isn't your problem, then go into the cmos and make sure it's set properly, if it is set to boot on the Pata drive, you have to switch over to SATA.

To install Xp on a computer with a Sata hard disk you need the drivers provided with your motherboard. When entering the set up, a message will apppear asking you to press F6 if you need to installa SATA drivers. This is usually done using a floppy disk

Satas' cable should be plugged in the right order...so if your hard drive is the only sata product in your pc plug it in sata port 1

If you guys knew anything about what's going on, you'd know that it's not a 'cable issue' or other bs.

The SB700 is the SATA controller that HP uses in their laptops. Which come pre-installed with Vista. In which HP provides literally NO support for installing XP on.

There's people out there that have actually succeeded in installing XP on these laptops, but it's hard as !#@$!@ to get everything you need to do so.
