My HP has a black screen, haven't logged on.

Hello, i cant get passed the initial start up before my hp turns black. no start up beeps just a black screen i haven't logged on i think i may have pushed a button and the screen is gone???? Help please, i'm at work and i have a tonne of work to do!

If it did not beep, its something with your MBoard. Your ram sticks can be lose, or a pheriphial would also cause this. I would check the internal components for lose connections. If all seems well, A bad ram stick can also do that, perhaps removing one or the other.

I have recently had a similar problem.

When the computer first starts up dose it show anything on the screen eg. Manufactures logo. If it dose then it is a problem with windows explorer the only way to get your computer running from then would be to use restore disks and do a factory restore.

This is a well known issue, and it just happen't to me yesterday, we really need to do something about this (besides never buying from HP again)

This is some bs..
my laptop has da same problem..
it wont start up.. and like 5 sec later .. it turns off and turns bak on..
hp is crap.. dey sellin crap dat doesnt even work..
