Hello, I brought a Hp pavilion dv6700 laptop with pre-loaded vista & I want to install windows XP , can you tell me full procedure to install windows vista to windows xp perfectally with which drivers needed & from where? i want to degrade form vista toXP,coz i want load SAP for my study.and which Antivirus i wll use for my laptop

1 change in BIOS SATA-RAID on IDE put windowsx xp to cd rom INSTAL win xp enjoin :)

I went to bios, and there is no way to change this. Can you provide more details on how to do it?

Go to shop and give them 150 for installing xp and 100 for drivers

I installed windows XP all web sites I visited don't give me the ability to download the Audio and the network drivers.

Put the win xp cd at DVD/CD room than Restarte your PC durring restart urs pc press F11 apear the drive and select os the press any keys than start but u'll lost sound driver other drivers as well. I'm also having problem with sound driver?

Hello, i am trying to downgrade a new hp pavilion dv6000 laptop from built in from windows vista to windows xp. When i put in the xp cd it would not let me install it. Does anyone know what i can do?

Dv6700 is not he name of one computer but of Series. Tell the exact name, like "dv6710ea"

Hello,

HP doesn't provide the XP driver u need. Ur sound card is a Realtek High Definition one.

LOL.These ppl arnt answering the questions. would some 1 plz explain the hole procedure of actualy making the custom disk with the drivers?????i know you can use nlite but some ppl like me hehe are to scared to try it and i also know that you can make a custom disk using a floppy with the sata drivers. all i wana know is how and what after i have the floppy with the drivers

Some of the early hp models that came with vista simply did not have xp drivers designed for them as vista quirks were yet to be seen. as a tech student i was determined to replace vista and did all that was possible, believe me, but all the drivers that appeared to be matches were incompatible with my model. there is good news though. windows 7 isn't exactly ready, but it's in the works;) good luck and by tha way my model # is dv6700
