Laptop cant read any hard disk at all

Hello,
ive got this problem with my laptop it cant read any hard disk at all.
please if u no any thing tell me thnx n it a vista laptop

Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 2.0.0.18

Restart your computer, and as it is turning on, one of the screens should have a little note at the bottom saying (F10 - Reboot system) or something of that sort.
