Hello,
I have been unable to log in to my hotmail account for about six hours. My sister is able to log in to her account with no problems from the same computer. this is the message I receive:

Sign-In Error. Windows Live Hotmail was not able to sign in to your account at this time. Please try again later.

I tried using the help feature, but it's just sending me in loops. I did clear all my cookies and ran a scan disk.
any suggestions??

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.0

Thanks....I never could get to a page that would actually help me with something like these instructions. It just kept asking, "Which service?" and I would press "Hotmail LIve," and it would just keep asking the same question over and over. So I appreciate something tangible to attempt to solve it!

Hi all, I had the same problem for most of the day. Frustrated I walked away from my computer. Came back later and decided to google my problem. Alas others were having the same problem too. Thank goodness I wasn't going mad on my own !!!

I finally found the answer somwhere along the line so will share it here:

In your IE : Open Tools >Internet Options > Privacy > Sites - Here is where I cleared all sites listed as blocked.

Reset the default settings of security levels for all ZONES and rebooted your computer.

After a day of frustration all is working again.

Glad to share my solution and hope it helps others

Belinda

All,

I had the same problem of not being able to log into Hotmail, searched the internet all day today.

I looked at SO MANY WEBSITES with suggestions.

I tried everything suggested, change IE settings, delete temp files, enable cookies, etc, etc etc.

Nothing worked . . . finally, all I did was reinstall the latest service pack of my op sys & voila!! All fixed!!!
