Hello,

I have a problem with my Dell Inspiron 1525 Laptop. The CD-Rom opens on its while I am working on the Laptop. My hand isn't near the eject button. This only happens once in a while.

Another problem I have is that the Laptop makes a low tone beep every now and again and when the beep occurs a little hardware icon appears and disappears the same time the low tone beep goes off. This icon appears on the bar at the bottom on the right hand side.

Please help. We check our Laptop for viruses everyday but our laptop is virus free.

Is there anything we can do to rectify this problem ourselves?

Thank you and God Bless.

Configuration: Windows Vista
Internet Explorer 7.0

I have the same problem too. Sounds to me it may be a problem with the make of the laptop. This is something we may have to contact dell about. I bought my Dell 1525 not too long ago and this problem drives me nuts.
